U.S.A. Landed at North Carolina. They had enough money saved to buy a team of
horses and a covered wagon.
So they packed their belongings and started for the midwest. Margaret
remembered going through Indiana and into Iowa. They came to St. Donatus, Iowa
for a few years, and then moved to the Springbrook, Iowa area. 2
