She was graduated from Central High School in 1935, and attended Muskogee Junior College 1935-1936, and Northeastern State College for two years. She was married on 4 Sep 1939 to Lex Cochran, son of Martin W. & Eacy (Jones) Cochran. He was born at Welling, Oklahoma on 20 Apr 1919. They resided at Tahlequah, Oklahoma until 1942. They moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma and operated own business, Farmers Produce until 1978. He worked at Liberty State Bank at Tahlequah until 1982, then at Commercial Bank from 1982. They are members of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She is a longtime member of P.E.O. 2
