Gideon Clore (son of Michael Clore) was born April 7, 1788, died in Boo ne Co., Ky., prior to July 29, 1846, on which date his inventory was prese nted. Among the purchasers at his sale were Gabriel Clore, Noah Clore, Ch urchill Clore, Leonard Clore, Jonas Clore, and Joanna Clore. He married J ohanna Utz, October 11, 1813, Madison Co., Va., whose age is giv en as 54 in the 1850 census of Boone Co., Ky., therefore born about 179 6. Possibly some of the purchasers at Gideon Clore's sale were also his c hildren. He is said to have had 8 children.

They Came to Kentucky by Alberta Carson Kirkwood (Gateway Press, Baltimo re 1976), p 506:
Gideon was in Boone Co., KY by 1820. Michael was administrator of father 's estate of $2,953.49. Michael was also named guardian of John. Dower w as house and 113 acres. All sons and the one son-in-law were legatees. B uyers at sale: Leonard, Gabriel, Noah, Churchill, Jonas, Michael and Joan na Clore.
