The following information is from the Clore-Glore Genealogy manuscri pt by Delma Rae Carpenter, Sr. (1881-1967). A copy of this is availab le at the Madison Co., VA Library. This manuscript is a typescript and u pdate of another, handwritten, Clore-Glore Genealogy manuscript by Dr. Art hur Leslie Keith. The original of Keith's manuscript is at the Newberry L ibrary, Chicago., IL. Please note that some of this information has be en updated by other researchers in the meantime and I'll try to add not es with the current information.

Page 21-22:
Margaret Clore (daugther of Michael Clore) is to be distinguished from h er sister Agnes Margaret Clore who married Michael Oneal. On one occasi on the latter signes her name as Margaret Oneal, in the deed of April 9, 1 763. Margaret married Paul Lederer (Leatherer and later Leathers) befo re June 20, 1751 on which date Michael Clore and John Clore sold to Pet er Leatherall (undoubtedly a perversion for Leatherer) 100 acres. Paul Le derer was in the Hebron community as early as July 13, 1737 on which da te he witnessed deed of Nicholas Yeager to Adam Yeager. It would seem th at he was of marriageable age at this time or soon after. Paul Lether (wi th Johannes Klor and Dorothea Klor) was sponsor at the christening of Ludw ig Krickler, born October 1, 1764, son of Christopher Krickler (Crigler ). On June 5, 1779 Paul Leatherer, Michael Leatherer, and Samuel Leath er signed a petition paying for the petition of the county (Culpeper ). In 1782 Paul Leatherer was taxed for 161 acres. At same time John Lea therer was taxed for 250 acres. Paul Leatherer made will November 5, 178 0, probated November 21, 1785, Culpeper Co., Va. The will was witness ed by John Hume, John Yowell, and James Crain. Testator mentions wife Mar garet (last mention found of Margaret), and children Michael Leatherer, Ni cholas Leatherer, Samuel Leatherer, John Leatherer, Paul Leatherer, Josh ua Leatherer, Susannah Leatherer, Mary Yowell, and Margaret Leatherer. So ns John and Joshua are names as exectors.
No other Leatherer (Lederer, Leathers) has been found comtemporary with P aul Leatherer. It seems certain therefore that all the later Leathere rs of Culpeper Co., Va., were his descendants, therefore descendants of Mi chael Clore, but the connections have not yet been made.
