Acklin, Lawrence County, alabama, states E lizabeth Acklin departed this life January 1859; she was a widow, and left children and grand children her only heirs at law, viz: 1 William Acklin, 2. Elizabeth G., wife of Jas. V. A. Hi nds, 3 Joseph A. S. Acklin, of Louisiana, 4 Christopher H. Acklin of California, 5 Palmyra J. , wife of John J. Coleman, 6 Arthur A Acklin (petitioner), 7 Christian B., wife of Wm. R. J . Husbands, 8 Sallie W. Acklin only living child of John R. H. Acklin, a son of said intestat e who died in her lifetime, of Louisiana, and 9 Mary R, wife of David A. Word, Charles L. McG ehee and Sallie McGehee, the only living children of Sarah V. McGehee a daughter of said inte state who died before her; all of these are of Texas and all of "said persons are of full ag e excepting the said Sallie N. McGehee who are severally minors under the age of 21."
