    She was Ella Angevine, who was living with the McCulloughs in 1880 and the census taker appar ently mistakenly listed her as "daughter," at the end, though he also wrote "servant." Not e that the census gives her parents' place of birth as NY but the McCullough couple were bot h born in Scotland.
    Poughkeepsie Evening Enterprise, Aug. 10, 1912, page 9, says Edward M. Drake married Ella An gevine.
    Ella Angevine descended from Simon Hoyt as alluded to on the PBS TV show, "Finding Your Roots ."

    Ella Angevine's third-great-grandparents were French Huguenots, Protestants who fled from Fra nce to New York in 1689 and 1686 to escape religious persecution. Her father was Presbyteria n and her mother had been a member of the Dutch Reformed Church. Ella Angevine was brought u p a Presbyterian but apparently converted to Catholicism before her marriage to Irish Catholi c Edward M. Drake.
    Poughkeepsie Evening Enterprise, Aug. 10, 1912, page 9: "Mr. Drake was married to Miss Ella A . Angevine of Hyde Park, N.Y., in 1885."
    Ella Angevine Drake was a member of St. Mary's church, the League of the Sacred Heart, a char ter member of the Ladies auxiliary to A. O. II Division No. 1, and the Catholic Daughters o f America, Court Irenita, Poughkeepsie, now called Court Irenita 69, Catholic Daughters Of Th e Americas.     Angevine Genealogy by Clyde V. Angevine, p.125, lists just the first two children of Stephe n Angevine and first wife Frances, followed by eight more children of Emma Cozine.
    The Ferris Genealogy also omits the third child, Ella Angevine.

    Ella Angevine married in 1884-85 Edward M. Drake (Poughkeepsie Evening Enterprise, Aug. 10, 1 912, page 9, says they married in 1885).
    Although the 1900 census gives her birth as Sept 1864, it should probably be Sept. 1860/61. O ne reference says Sept. 23, 1864.
    In 1884, Ellen Angevine and Edward Drake, possibly the same couple, were both employees ("att endants") working at the Hudson River State Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY.(ref., First Repor t of the Civil Service Commission of the State of NY, 1884, vol. 1, p.118; also published as
    Annual Report of the Dept. of Civil Service and Civil Service Commission, vol. 1, 1884, p.118 ;

Mrs. Drake was a member of St. Mary's church, the League of the Sacred Heart, a charter mem ber of the Ladies auxiliary to A. O. II Division No. 1, and the Catholic daughters of America , Court Irenita, Poughkeepsie. She is survived by one son, Edward Drake of New Jersey, and tw o grandchildren.
    Burial site yet unverified. Her brother and supposedly father were buried at Poughkeepsie Rur al Cemetery, but her mother, former member of St. James Parish, was buried at the Dutch Refor med Church cemetery.

    Moses Hoyt (ancestor of Susannah Ferris Angevine), a slave-owner in New York, and Revolutiona ry War soldier Jonathan Ward (father of Anna Ward Angevine) were mentioned briefly in the Bil l O'Reilly episode of "Finding Your Roots" on PBS (Season 3, Episode 2), Jan. 12, 2016, but t he Angevine lineage was cut entirely from the show.
