  • Census: 1870 shows wife and seven kids( Frank, Susan, Caroline, Mary, Leah, Sarah, and George) living at Jefferson Township, Juda P.O., Green County, Wisconsin. Isaac and Frank listed as farmers, with Real estate of $3,600 and Personal Estate of $3,500.
  • Census: 1880 shows wife and three kids (George, Leah, and Sarah) in Jefferson Township, Green County. Listed as farmer. Son Franklin and family listed after him, indicating he worked another farm close by.
  • Census: 1900 shows Isaac, age 85, and Mary, age 75, boarding with son George and wife Edith in Jefferson Twsp., Green Co., Wisconsin
  • Burial: Afolkey Church cemetery in Afolkey, Illinois. South Half Row 11.
  • Event: Note Could not read cause of death on the " Certificate of Death". Was 89+ years of age.
  • Religion: Isaac and son Franklin, were two of the four individuals who incorporated The Emanuel Church of the Evangelicall Association in Fairfield, Jeffersoon Twsp., Green Co., WI on February 5, 1886.
  • Will: 27 SEP 1893 His will was signed on this date and probated May 23, 1904.
  • Note:

    Afolkey, Illinois is located between Orangeville, Rock City and Dakota, in Stevenson County.
    This is just south of the state line, below Monroe and Clarno, Wisconsin, which are in Green County.

    Land deeds of September 19, 1864, April 21, 1866, and May 20, 1870 have Isaac buying land in Section 32 of Jefferson Township, Green County, Wisconsin. This land was on or close to the Illinois-
    Wisconsin line southeast of Monroe, WI. On July 5, 1886, according to deed, he sold a part of this land to his son, Franklin. After his death in 1904, his wife sold the balance on February 24, 1905 to Edward Timm. See Franklin Hummel notes.
