This individual and family unit were identified by the 1887 Metlkatla census and the 1910 census.
There is some confusion regarding this family, the 1887 census notes two children, Sarah and Lydia. The 1910 census lists only one child having been born to Kate, giving the name only of Lydia.
Kate was a filler in the cannery.
According to the death certificate of Susan Reece, RIN 1965, Kate Faber was her sister. This was confirmed by Dorothy McKinnie, Dec 1987.
Kate died in 1933 of Myocardia Degeneration, Ak Vital Statistics.
Her parents were not known to the informants, other unspecified relatives noted on the death certificate included Lawrence Faber, Stephen Faber, Reggie Booth, and Alonzo Booth, all of Metlakatla.
The death certificate indicated that she was 5' 3" tall and weighted 130 pounds.
She was a widow at the time of her death.
Gordon Thompson, 1998, reported that she was born in Metlakatla, BC in 1852.
