    This individual was identified by the 1910 census. At that time he was living at Kassan where he was working as a missionary among the Haida.

    His wife Kate was of mixed race but listed as a Haida.

    At that time Boyd Anthony Haldane was listed as his adopted son.

    According to his death certificate, he died of arteriosclerosis, Alaska Vital Statistics, 1936

    He was about 80 years of age..

    He was still married but separated from his wife.

    He was 5' 9" tall and weighed 175 pounds.

    According to the 1920 census they were divorced.

    Ray Haldane of Metlakatla was listed as his nephew.

    He was working as a laborer.

    According to his death certificate his parents were unknown but that he was
    born at Fort Simpson, BC.

    He was joined with his son George E. Haldane as a family unit by the 1920 US
    census at Hydaburg. He was living with George and his family. This source
    gave his dob as approximately 1860.

    Henry Haldane, age 65, applied for a marriage license on 16 Mar 1921 at Ketchikan, AK, First Judicial District. His intended was Annie Kahshakes of Ketchikan, age 45. She was enumerated as indian. She had been married twice previously, one married ended upon the death of her husband, the second ended in divorce. Further research is needed to identify this individual.

    An Annie Haldane passed away 1 Nov 1950 at Ketchikan and was buried at Bayview Cemetery.

    At that time, Haldane was a Salvation Army worker in Ketchikan.

    He had been married once previously, his wife had passed away.
