        Note: Tolbert Curry, 85, died peacefully at home with his family at his side on December 20, 2007. He was born November 15, 1922 near Gillam, AR. Tolbert is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary; 2 sons, Captain Robert L. Curry, Rtd. and his wife Carol; Clark L. Curry and his wife Janis. Grandchildren are Jennifer and Chris Curry and his wife Gina, Scott Curry and his wife Sumer, Melissa Wilson and her husband Richard. His great-grandchildren include Nickolas, Cody, Julianna, Kati, Dillon, and Kathryn; brothers, Ralph, Earl, Wayne, and Vernon; sisters, Sybil Walker, Marie Gilpin, Eunice Robertson and Gladys Williams and their spouses. His parents and 2 brothers preceded him in death. He was a veteran of WWII, Pacific theater of war, serving in the Army Air Corps and also the Oklahoma Air National Guard for 27 years. He owned and operated Tolbert Curry Company for 40 years. His integrity in all of his dealings with people was unquestioned and his skills were often requested. He will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. He spent most of his life working outside, growing a garden, or bringing home 'meat on the table'. He had tremendous respect and knowledge of wildlife, and was a very skilled hunter and fisherman. He hunted big game in Colorado for 40 consecutive years as a regular family activity. He had a love of team sports as a player, coach, and a fan. True sportsmanship was also stressed. He loved his Sparks farm, cattle, mules and hunting dogs. He was an active member of VFW, the Grey Eagles, American Legion and the annual Wewoka Sorghum Festival. The family expresses special thanks to loving neighbors and Sol Amor Hospice professionals, especially Suzy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Christian Heritage Academy at 4400 S.E. 27th St., Del City, OK 73115. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 24, 2007, at Demuth Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
