    Came on Anne 1623 from Leyden. First residence: Plymouth Removed to Duxbury. Returned to England permanently, perhaps as early as 1643, and certainly by 1654. Occupation: sayworker (in Leiden). Not mentioned in fathers will, probably on account of removing to Holland [Tracy Gen]
    Sometime in 1620 or perhaps earlier he joined the colony of Piilgrims in Leyden, Holland. Possible he was following a lady, for there was a Lee family in Great Yarmouth, and Leyden archives have full record of marriage of Stephen Tracy to Tryphosa Lee. Appearance before officials on 18 Dec 1620, publishing Banns on 19 and 24 December, Marriage itself of 2 January 1620/1. He is called a "say-worker, bachelor from Engand and adds that a friend Anthony Clement came with him. Tryphosa is called "spinster also from Englanld", accompanied by Rose Jennings
    ln 1652 a group of Plymouth men, including Stephen Tracy and Francis Cooke acquired a large tract of land to the west which later became Dartmouth. He returned to England within a year or two. Last evidence of him is March 1654/5 when he signed in London. [Dawes-Gates 2-801]
