of them was Edward Stinson b 1877 Browning, MO d 1930 Brookfield, MO who married Elizabeth McCormick b 1876 d 1955 Brookfield. They had 5 children, one of which was James B. b 1900 Browning, MO, d 1967 Wichita, KS who married Wilma Brinkley. I am their daughter b 1925. Nancy Jessee was my gggrandmother."

Subject: Stinson/Jessee Connection
John Stinson, born Apr. 10, 1811; died Nov. 24, 1889. Nancy Jessee, born Jan. 18, 1815; died Feb. 15, 1871. Both are buried in the Stinson Cem, Russell Co., VA on County road 682 before junction 740. They lived on a farm on Copper Ridge.
John's parents were Robert Stinson (1785-1862) and Amy Kelly, daughter of Edward Kelly and Biddy Nugent.

Lillie Jessee is my grandmother. She married John W. Stinson and moved to Harris, MO. I don't have the date of their marriage but they had a son Fletcher Robert Stinson (my father) born 12/26/1925. John W. Stinson was previosly married to Mary Alice Kiser. My Dad is still alive but I have never met any relatives on his side of the family. He was born in Harris, Missouri on 12/26/1925. He was named Fletcher Robert Stinson but goes by Robert F. Stinson since his days in the military. He does not have any brothers or sisters but he did have half brothers and sisters from his father's first marriage to Mary Alice Kiser. There is quite an age difference between them.
There must have been a few people from Russell County that moved to Missouri because his family and those around him were referred to as the Virginians.
I see that my great great grandfather John T Stinson born around 1811 married Nancy Jessee born around 1816. The website provides a lot of interesting and useful information, and allowed me to confirm the information I've acquired to date.
