Note: Found in the Carthage Republican Tribune - dated March 26, 1925 Heart Trouble Fatal to William Pecore William Pecore, 69, was found dead on the floor near his bed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Miner on South James street outside of the village, where Mr. Pecore has septnt the winter. Mr. Pecore was feeling quite well when he retired Wednesday evening, although he had been in poor health for some time. He apparently had been up some time and was partly dressed when Mr. Miner who became anxious when Mr. Pecore did not appear found him dead on the floor about 7:30. Mr. Pecore came to Carthage some time ago from Gananoque, where he had been injured in an accident while employed there. Since he had been in Carthage he had been employed at different times by the village and had worked as a cook at the Belfort Reservoir and also had been in the employ of C. W. McWilliams, superintendent of the Carthage water works as a cook. He is survived by his wife, who lives in Utica, and by a sister, Mrs. Ada Myers Lawson, Lamon street, Watertown. Dr. F. G. Metzger as acting coroner was called and pronounced that death was due to heart failure. The body was removed to the Roseboom Funeral Home.
