Nannie (nee Kendall) Kennedy died July 19, 1901)
Death was a midnight intruder at the home of Mr. Abe Kennady on last Friday night, when it took from the loving embrace of husband and children his wife, Mrs. Nannie Kennady. Her death was as unexpected as it was sudden. Mrs. Kennady retired on the night of her death feeling exceedingly cheerful and as well as usual, but awoke about 11 o'clock and complained of feeling sick. She got up and walked out on a black porch. Her condition became so serious that all the doctors in town were called in and did all that medical skill could do to relieve her, but to no avail. Death claimed her in thirty minutes from the time she was taken ill. She had for a number of years been a victim of heart trouble, but neither the family nor her physican thought it was a serious case, but such it proved and the shock was a terrible one to the family. Mrs. Kennady was a most estimable lady and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. The deceased was about forty-one years of age, and besides the husband, eight children survive her, all of whom have the kindest and deepest sympathy of every citizen of the town and community. Mrs. Kennady's maiden name was Kendall and she was a sister to Mrs. James Enlow, of this county. On the day following her death the remains were conveyed to her former home, in Meade county, and interred in the cemetery at Buck Grove church, of which congregation Mrs. Kennady was a devoted member.
By request, Rev. R. H. Miller, of this place, will, on the first Sunday in August, preach on the subject, "When and How did Sin get into the World?"
