  • ID: I05560
  • Name: Cain
  • Sex: M
  • Note:
Killed his brother Abel because Abel gave God a lamb (representing Jesus dying on the cross and Salvation thru faith) for a sacrifice and Cain gave God produce (representing salvation thru works) and God would not take Cain sacrifice because the only way to salvation is thru faith, faith in Jesus Christ. If you try to get salvation thru works by being perfect and try to do right, you might as well keep trying forever because everybody on Earth falls short for the glory of God. But God accepted Abel's offering because he accepted Jesus as his Salvation from sin and he showed it by the lamb. Both Abel and Cain were taught that they should offer to God a lamb as a sacrifice and they both were taught the reason of this but Cain was not humble. He reasoned that since Abel was a shepard, it would be easier for him to sacrifice a lamb and since he, Cain, was a farmer it would be better to offer God HIS fruit that HE grew then to get a lamb from Abel.
