  • Note: REVIVAL OF KNIGHTLY SPORTS // South Carolina Gentlemen Form Association for That Purpose. // HOLD ANNUAL TOURNAMENT // Organisation is Composed of Some of the Leading Men of the Old Palmetto State Who Love Good Sport. // Columbia, Nov. 14. - (Special.) - A representative body of gentlemen interested in racing and improvement of the blooded horse met at the rooms of the executive committee of the State Fair association and formed an association to be known as the Riding and Driving association of South Carolina. The object of which is to improve the blood and give an annual exhibition in connection with the state fair. The association started out under the brightest auspices and proposes to conduct these annual ehibitions on a high and legitimate plane. Fraud of any character will be punished and stamped out. // The names of the charter members and officers of the association is a sufficient guarantee that this wil be done.
