    a tanner. He came from Ipswich Suffolk, England to Watertown MA
    in 1634, in the Elizabeth, William Andrews, Master, with his
    wife Elizabeth and 4 children. He built and was part owner of
    the Tryal, the first ship built in the Connecticut Colony. He
    was deputy to the General Court, almost all the sessions
    between 1641 and 1653. He moved to Hadley MA 1659-60. He was
    a lieutenant from 1663 to 1678. 4
