BIOGRAPHY: George was a very respected resident of Startford.
He was a Veteran printer. He worked for the Beacon Herald.
He started as a printer devil on the former Stratford Beacon on Nov. 17, 1872. He even held the editor chair.
He came to Stratford when he was seven years old.
In the Later part of 1879 he went to Guelph and worked as a compositor on the Herald Later. He became formand for the News room, and still gradyated to the editir's chair on the same news paper. As he missed the smell of ink he again went across to the Guelph Advocate in 1898 as Formen of the news room. about a year later he went to the Chatham Banner. Now the News. In 1901 he return to Stratford and the Beacon-Hearld up to his retirement.
George attended the old Central School Graduating from that institution and cast for a job.
Mr. Wreford was identified with Central Curch , and was a member of the international Typograhical Union
Was married twice his frist wife died in 1899 while they resided in Guelph. In 1905 he again married mrs Colorline Hubbard who died in 1935. All of the above and below is taken from a copy of a News paper artical My grandmother had save for my grandfather Christopher Joesph Hubbard.

George bonded my grandfather out when he was young to the railroad he was soon put into a apertice program. where Christopher became a Enginenear. George was 89 year old when he died. Two children from his frist wife Dorcas Taylor. His two children buy her are Harold who he resided with in his last years and In London Canada Minerva. He had Four Children with Caroline Hubbard maiden name Lamb. There Four Children Were Verdun, Russell, Pearl, and Muriel who died during child birth in March 1935. Step children to George where Christopher Joesph Hubbard, William Hubbard who was killed during the war in 1916, And Herbert who went buy bert he died in 1943.
Muriel married Edwin Leacock of Tecumseh, Ontario.
