Text: Mary Jane David died January 3, 1925, at the home of her son Lewis David at Bitely following an illness of one week. She was 80 years, 11 months, and 11 days old. Mary Jane Kimbell was born January 23, 1844, in Kalamazoo county and was married January 23, 1861, to Abel A. David in Brooks township. Her husband preceeded her in death August 26, 1923. The surviviing children are: Mrs. F. C. Nichols and O.A. David of Muskegon; Mrs. F.A. Lowe of Grant; H. D. David of Greenville; G.H. David of Cadillac; Lafe C. David of Meesick and Mrs. William Curtice, Mrs. George Curtice, M.A. David, W.O. David and Z.L. David of Bitely. Deceased children are Mary L. Tindall and two babies, who died in infancy. The funeral was held at Riverside at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, January 6, Charles Britton officiating. Interment in Riverside cemetery. She leaves beside her 11 children, three sisters, Mrs. Rexford of Lowell, Mrs. Mae Burns of Detroit and Lydia Edwards of Mancelona, 37 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
