    Heights, Gettysburg, Wilderness, Monocacy Md, Spotsylvania
    Courthouse, Petersburg, surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse on
    April 9 1865. As part of Gordon's Brigade they carried the Rebel
    Flag further north than any other Confederates. Captured at
    Fredricksburg, Dec 3, 1863. Wounded Payne's Farm, Va. 27/28
    1863, wounded Wilderness May 6, 1864. He was at home on medical
    furlough when the war ended.
