      Mr. and Mrs. Patrick F. Casey of Milltown, NB, who celebrated the golden anniversary of their wedding on February 9th were the honored guests at a basket supper in Monday, February 8th, in St. Patrick's Hall, with the Milltown Subdivision of the Catholic Women's League as hostesses. Mrs. Anna Curran, president of the Subdivision, presided and received the guests of honor. Mr. and Mrs. Casey, Mrs. Ballard Fuller, their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Casey, Edmund P. Casey and Reverend Charles J. Carroll.
      Forty guests wee present and a delicious supper was served by Mrs. Francis MacFarlane, 3rd Vice President o, Miss Cecilia Osborne, Miss Alice Ryan, Diocesan Corresponding Secretary, Mrs. Raymond Short, councillor, Miss Mary McBride, corresponding secretary of Milltown and miss Annie Cronin.
      Immediately following the supper Mrs. Curran addressed the honored guests, congratulating Mr. and Mr. Casey on their wonderful and edifying married life and the happiness that had come to them from their family of six children and twenty grandchildren, all living. She extended congratulations from the Milltown Subdivision of the Catholic Women's League, pointing out the beautiful Catholic lives of the jubileans. In the absence of Very Rev. Dean Carleton, father Carroll extended the felicitations of the parish of Milltown, commenting on the high esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Casey were held both in the parish and the community.
      Miss Mary Gephard recording secretary read a short address of best wishes to Mrs. Casey and Miss Mary McBride presented Mrs. Casey with a lovely bouquet of roses and white carnations with the best wishes of the Milltown Subdivision.
      A beautiful golden jubilee box of chocolates was given the bride and groom of fifty years and miss Margaret Moran presented them with a candle lighted bride's cake, decorated with "golden jubilee 1937."
      The officers and members of the catholic Women's League then offered individual congratulations and the happy gathering broke up with the singing of Auld Lang Syne with Mr. Casey, former choir singer, leading. Congratulations were heartily seconded by all.
