    SIR ALEXANDER STEWART, fourth son of King Robert II. ROBERT II , King of Scotland, was recognised as EARL OF BUCHAN (S.) in 1382. He was known as "The Wolf of Badenoch," and died without legitimate issue probably in 1406. He left several natural sons:
    a) Alexander, Earl of Mar.
    b) Sir Andrew
    c) Duncan.
    d) James, Ancestor of Atholl, etc. .
    e) Walter, Ancestor of Belladrum, etc. .
    f) Robert.
    BLG 2001 re Erskine Earl of Buchan says Alexander dsp, but they must mean died without legitimate issue.
    His death date is sometimes given as 24 Jul 1394.
