Sir Duncan Campbell, 2nd of Glenorchy, succeeded his father and had a charter for the 10 merk lands of Port of Lochtay with the Isle thereof and also the fishing rights for Loch Tay, the lands of Eddirgol and Balloch for services rendered to King James IV. on 4 July, 1498. He had a charter from King James IV. confirming his appointment as baillie of the lands of Disher and Toyer, Glenlyon and also the barony of Glendochart on 3 September, 1498, and had a charter under the Great Seal for the lands of Glenlyon, which were thereafter incorporated into a Barony to be held by Duncan for his life and thereafter by his son Archibald Campbell, whom failing by Patrick Campbell, brother to the said Duncan whom failing by John Campbell, his brother on 7 September, 1502. He obtained part of the barony of Finlarig from John, 1st Lord Drummond, on 22 April, 1503, purchased the 5 merk worth of land at Finlarig from James Muschet of Tolgarth on 27 February, 1506, and had the lands of Finlarig, Crandych, Shian, Balloch, Auchacharn, Murlaggen, Ledcharrie and Eddirdameneach erected into the Barony of Finlarig on 16 May, 1513.
He m. firstly in October of 1479 to Margaret, daughter of George Douglas, 4th Earl of Angus, (she d. in November of 1496).
Married secondly to Margaret, daughter of Sir John Moncrieff of that Ilk, (Dispensation dated 21 September, 1510. She m. secondly to William Menteith of Kerse and d. in November of 1554). He was killed at the battle of Flodden on 9 September, 1513.
