Thomas Spring was known as "The Rich Clothier". He was 30 years old at his father's death, according to a 1486 (2 Henry VII) Inquisition Post Mortem. Thomas Spring's Will dated June 15th, 1523, and probated July 3rd, 1523, mentioned his wife, Alice, his oldest son, John and John's daughter, Frances, his son Robert, his son-in-law, Thomas Jermyn, his daughter Rose Guybon, his youngest daughter, Bridget, who was under 16, and his wife's daughter, Alice May. The Inquisition Post Mortem for Thomas Spring, dated October 13th, 1523 (15 Henry VIII), mentioned his son and heir, John Spring (aged 24 years and more), and John's wife, Dorothy Waldegrave, daughter of Sir William Waldegrave, his younger son, Robert Spring, and his daughters, Margaret Jermyn, Rose Guybon, and Bridget.
