    A knight in the retinue of William de Bohun, Earl of Northampton. He accompanied the Earl to Brittany during the English Expedition to support the Montfort claimant to the Duchy of Brittany. He was left in command upon the departure of the Earl. With the King fully committed to the Normandy Campaign that culminated in the Battle of Crecy, he was instructed to be self sufficient. He won numerous victories, including beating and capturing Charles de Blois. In recognition of his achievements he was made Captain-General of Brittany and in 1347 was recognised as Baron Dagworth. He lived the rest of his life in Brittany until murdered by the French. He married Eleanor de Bohun, a sister of the Earls of Northampton (?), and Essex and Hereford.
