The text of the decree or declaration of separation has not been preserved.
Morris, p. 267, cites an abstract of the plea of Elizabeth Grendon and its
result, which reads, in pertinent part, as follows:
Eadem Johe Harley per officialem Diocesis Middelsex occasione frigiditatis sive
impotensiae naturalis Roberti mariti sui coeund sive carnaliter cognoscend mota

[The said Joan Harley had been separated from the said Robert by the act of an
official of the Diocese of Middlesex on account of the coldness or natural
inability of Robert her husband to mate with her or
to know her carnally. And now by virtue of the prayer of the said Elizabeth
Grendon her separation is quashed and annulled and the marriage between them
declared to be in full force and effect by a public instrument dated A.D.
