  • ID: I26035
  • Name: Bertram De Verdon 1
  • Sex: M
  • Birth: 1080 in Verdun, Vessey Parish, Manche, Normandy, France
  • Death: AFT 1115
  • Residence: Farnham Royal, Bucks, England 2
  • Occupation: Sheriff of York
  • Note:

By reference to the dates, Bertram?s father may have been the Godfrey shown here (though by which wife is not clear) and was the Godfreye, Comte de Verdun, surnamed "le Captif" who, was Bertram?s father according to BE1883 (Verdun).
By Beatrice of Bar, or maybe by Doda, he may have been the father of Bertram de Verdun of Farnham Royal, ancestor of the Verdon family in England - but this is very uncertain. If Beatrice had been his mother, Bertram would have had a very serious claim to her family's vast lands and titles, and there is no record that his descendants ever made such a claim.
