Name: Elizabeth Keigwin
Change Date: 25 APR 2007
There is a hamlet called Keigwin on the road between St Ives and St Just.
Kimiel-Crease or Greaze, and Kiliel-Drea, now farm-houses, in the parish of Paul were both seats of the Keigwins: Jenkin Keigwin, of this family, was killed by the Spaniards in 1595: the entry of his burial is the first which occurs in the present parish register; the earlier registers having been destroyed when the invaders set fire to St. Paul?s church.
Dau of John Keigwin and Margaret Gifford? It seems unlikely as they were of a much higher rank than the Bottrells.
