Evidently he died without issue, since his heir was his nephew Archdale Wilson Tayler.
13 April, 1758, the admiral's flagship the Prince George of 90 guns was burnt off Ushant, only about 250 escaping out of a complement of some 800.
1758 Prince George, on passage from England to the Mediterranean, caught fire 180 miles West of Ushant and was totally destroyed.

John Wilson then of Archdale his son, 1755.
Also similar conveyance of same property to be recovered to use of Archdale Wilson Tayler, Archdale Wilson's devisee, 1781. The latter is annotated as to subsequent sale or demolition of houses.
