In 1549 William Turville, of Normanton Hall, a scion of the famous Norman family, migrated to Aston Flamville. His son Henry became High Sheriff.
The Turville family had come to England with William the Conqueror, and lived firstly at Normanton Turville, and later from c1530, at Aston Flamville.
