  • ID: I41786
  • Name: George Broun
  • Suffix: of Colstoun 1
  • Sex: M
  • Note: 2 1

BP1870 has a gap between the William Broun who is shown as alive in 1480 and the George who is reported to have married Jean Hay of the Yester family. That Jean is not found in the Hay records but those records do mention a Marion Hay (d 6.1564, dau of Sir John Hay, 2nd Lord of Yester) who married George Broun of Coulston (d before 15.2.1519-2). As mentioned, the next reported by BP1870 was George Broun (d 1603).
Presumably descendant of William Brown of Colston who married the coheiress of Annand of Sauchie (qv), who is I guess the one ?shown as alive in 1480? by BP 1870.
Died 1603? (Same year I have for his grandson)
Or died BEF. 15 FEB 1520? (which would be 23 years before his fatherin law)
