Rogneide was a daughter of norman prince of Polotsk.
Vladimire while he was prince in Novgorod attacked Polotsk (this principat still ruled by princes from not Rurick dynasty), killed the father of Rognede and married himself to Rognede.
So he add[ed] this land to Novgorod and later to Kiev but later grand [ted?] it to the son from Rognede Izyaslav(+1001).
