Sir Paul Gore, of Magherebegg in county Donegal (afterwards Manor Gore), by grant of James I (3 January 1610), commanded a troop of horse in Queen Elizabeth's army in Ireland, M.P. Ballyshannon 1613, was created a Baronet of Ireland 2 February 1621/2; will dated 16 September 1629 and probated November 1629; buried in the abbey church of Donegal, having married Isabella, daughter of Francis Wycliffe, and had with other issue four sons.
