Name: Christiana Latimer 1
Death: ABT 1313 1
Change Date: 19 FEB 2010
Relict of Sir John Carbonel of Waldingfield.
Also married Sir Robert de Bosco, who in 1308 held the third part of the manor of Carbonels in Waldingfield, in the right of Christian?s dower, and of the inheritance of William Carbonel.
Blomefield's "History of Norfolk" Volume 1 on Fersfield (page 77) states: "Sir Robert de Bosco married Christian Le Latimer, daughter of Sir William Latimer, and widow of Sir John Carbonel of Waldingfield, Suffolk....and the year after Sir Robert's death, which was in 1311, she married a third time, to Sir Thomas Mose by whom she had a daughter Mariot, married to Sir William Botevile. Some pedigrees make this Thomas her first husband but I am certain he was her last, for in 1312, the very year she married Sir Thomas, she presented here by the name of Christian de Mose, late wife of Sir Robert de Bosco."
In this section, Blomefield does not cite a reference for Latimer but on page 105 he reproduces the east window of Fersfield Church depicting Sir John Howard who married Margaret Plais. The arms depicted in the window include Howard impaling Cornwall, Bois impaling Latimer and Howard quartered with Plais.
