Thomas Leventhorpe of Albury. Mentioned in the Will of his father, who married:
First, Dorothy, daughter of Sir John Seymour of Wolf Hall, Wilts, sister of Jane Seymour, Queen of
Hen. Vni, and widow of Sir Clement Smith of Little Baddow, Essex.
Second, Dorothy, eldest daughter and co-heiress of William Barlee of Albury, widow of Thomas Clopton of Long Melford, Suffolk, through whom he acquired Albury.
Third, Mary, daughter of Thomas Chambers of Raistow.
Thomas of Albury died 5th June, 1588, leaving issue by his second and third wives. On the failure of the male line, at the death of his son Thomas, Albury Manor was divided among his four daughters by his second marriage.
According to Haarleian Society Publications vol. 22:149-50 [The Visitations of Hertfordshire, 1577, 1636] (please have salt shaker at the ready for the grains of salt), Elizabeth (m George Browne) is the dtr. of John Leventhorpe and his wife Jane Dallison.
