    Presumably this family:
The Suttons' tenants at the manor of Ganstead, at Ganstead, Yorks, were the Twyers. The estate which William de la Twyer bought there in the mid 13th century was presumably the manor, which Peter de la Twyer (d. by 1304) held; it then included 2 carucates of demesne land. Peter was succeeded by his son William, who was named as joint lord of neighbouring Wyton in 1316, presumably for Ganstead. William (d. by 1334) left a son William.
