    Richard Comyn born say 1121 - died between 1179-1182, lord of
    Bedrule, several times Justiciar of Lothian, captured at the Battle of Alnwick in
    1174 with William I, King of Scots for whom he witnessed several charters . He
    had also witnessed charters for King Malcolm IV, William I`s brother and
    predecessor.
    He was a hostage for William I under the treaty of Falaise.
    Married between 1145-1150 to Hextilda Of Tynedale, daughter of Huchtred Fitz
    waldeve, lord of Tynedale by Bethoc, daughter of King Donald VI Ban of the Scots.
