JAMES DE BOHUN, of Ballymadden, next brother, born 3 February 1280/1, at Ford, and baptized in the church there. Having proved his age before the King, he did homage, and had livery of his lands in Ireland 28 October 1302 and 11 October 1304. He married Joan, younger daughter and coheir of Sir William [DE BREWES) of Bramber and Gower [LORD BREWES]. He died shortly before 30 May 1306. [CP 2:200]
Didn?t own Midhurst as it had been granted for life to Anthony Beck, Bishop of Durham, for life. The bishop survived until 1311.
