    JOHN A. FINNEGAN
    VETERAN LUMBER FIRM HEAD DIES
John A. Finnegan, prominently known for his many business interests and president of the Queen Lumber company, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home at Queen, Bedford county. Death followed an illness of two and one-half years' duration.
Mr. Finnegan was born in Kimmel township, Bedford county, on July 6, 1868, a son of Henry and Eliza Finnegan, pioneer residents. As a young man, he engaged in farming and later as a merchant at Imler.
Mr. Finnegan embarked in the lumber business forty-one years ago and attained wide success. In 1920 he formed the Queen company, which he headed until his death. His partners were D. Emmert Brumbaugh and Arch Smith, both of Claysburg. Later Mr. Smith retired from the firm and Messrs. Finnegan and Brumbaugh continued their partnership.
The deceased was the owner of extensive real estate and lumber interests in Blair, Huntingdon, Bedford and Cambria counties. He was a deacon in the Greenfield Evangelical and Reformed church for twenty-seven years and served as treasurer of the Sunday school for twenty-five years. He held membership in Bedford lodge, F. & A.M., Williamsport consistory and Jaffa Shrine. He also was affiliated with the Odd Fellows. He was a director of the First National bank at Claysburg.
His wife, Mrs. Rachael Finnegan, died two years ago. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Ira Emeigh of Imler, R.D., Mrs. Ruth Albright of Roaring Spring, Mrs. William Bush, Stewart and Ralph Finnegan, all of Imler, R.D. One sister, Mrs. George Wright of Imler, R.D., and two brothers, Humphrey T. and David Finnegan of Imler, R.D., also survive.
The body may be viewed at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.

FINNEGAN--Funeral services for the late John A. Finnegan of Queen, Bedford county, will take place at the home Wednesday at 10.30 a.m. in charge of Rev. Harry C. Garcius. Interment in Greenfield Reformed cemetery. Friends will be received at home after 7 o'clock this evening.
