Frieda Faulkingham passed on Wednesday, (July 5, 2000) at her summer camp in Jonesport, ME. She spent her winters in Boynton Beach, FL. She was the wife of Lloyd Faulkingham and of the late William A. Sieber.
Born in Uster, Switzerland, she moved to Connecticut as a child and attended schools in the East Windsor and Windsor Locks area, returning to Switzerland with her mother for half a year in 1920, before becoming a permanent resident of the United States. She became a naturalized citizen of this country in the 1940's. She worked variously at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and the Connecticut Department of Mental Retardation, Mansfield Training School. She was a practicing Christian Scientist and a former member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Rockville, and a current member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, MA.
Surviving besides her husband, are a daughter, Janice Weigold of Wellington, FL, and Brewster, MA; a stepdaughter, Margaret Lord of Wells, ME; two step-sons, William Faulkingham of Vero Beach, FL and Lloyd Faulkingham, Jr., of Dennisport, MA; as well as grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A daughter, June Heinz; and a son, Emil Sieber predeceased her.
