      LUBEC - Loren Walter Lank, 54, died unexpectedly March 25, 2009, in Lubec, as a result of a boating accident. He was born May 31, 1954, on Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick, the son of Judson and Vesta (Wilson) Lank. He loved fishing and being on the water. He was a big man with a big heart and was always willing to help others. He enjoyed gardening and making pickles. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He survived by his wife, Florence (Thistlewood) Lank; his children, Paula Moores and companion, Robert, Donna and husband, Jimmy Lyons, Barbara and husband, Johnny Rice, Clifton Flynn and companion, Emily Norton, Gordon Flynn, and John Flynn; two sisters, Carla Fishwick and husband, Jimmy, and Stephanie and husband, John Milbury; a sister-in-law, Bessie and husband, Roy Kelley; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be greatly missed by his dog, Willey. Loren will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and even though he is gone, he will be forever in our hearts. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Christian Temple Church, Lubec, with Pastor Gary Look officiating. Burial will be after at Split Hill Cemetery, West Lubec. Those wishing to make donations in his memory may do so to Bessie Kelley, 3 Thistlewood Lane, Lubec, ME 04652, to help the family with Loren's final expenses. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.

      LANK, VESTA MILLICENT - The death of Vesta Millicent Lank of 22 Clifford Lane, Welshpool, NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on January 7, 2003. Born in Grand Manan, she was the daughter of the late Hartley and Mildred (Guptill) Wilson.

      Predeceased by her husband, Judson Lank; son, Gilbert; two grand sons, Brian Lank and Andrew Allingham; brother, Kitchener Randall.

      She is survived by two daughters, Carla Fishwick (James) and Stephanie Milbury (John); two sons, Loren Lank (Florence) and Darren Lank; two sisters, Ethel Sears and Celia Parris; sister-in-law Velda Randall; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel, Mashayla and Cheyanne Lank, April Mitchell, Stafford and Anthoney Lank, Larry and Stormi Hilderbrand; two great grandchildren Jack Mitchell and Amy Allingham; several nieces, nephews and a special friend, Carol Haskins.

      Resting at the North Road Baptist Church Welshpool, with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held 2 pm on Thursday from the church with Rev. Eldon Colwell officiating.

      Interment will take place in the North Road Baptist Cemetery.

      For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen in care of arrangements.
