Text: Obituary of Lester Howard Leslie
Lester Howard Leslie Lester Howard Leslie of Richardson NB, born August 31, 1942, passed away on his 71st birthday surrounded by family, after a lengthy illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB. He was the son of the late Edson Le Baron Leslie and the late Norma Jeanette (Butler) Leslie.
Lester is survived by his companion Paula Thibodeau and their young son Wyatt Thibodeau-Leslie. He is also survived by his other children; Elizabeth Leslie, Robert Leslie his wife Katrina (Boddy), Merle Leslie his wife Cindy (VanTassel), Norma Leslie, John Leslie his wife Helen (Johnson), Jason Butler (Louise), Jeremy Butler (Tiffany). Several grandchildren; Jenna (Brad), Jody (David), Liam, April (Tyrone), Blake, Kyle, Eric, Shane, Alex, Ainsley, Avery, Avalon, Acadia, Chandler, Rebecca, Jay, Brennan, and Madeline and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Janet Lord of Deer Island and Joyce McGarrigle of Fredericton Junction as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also his dear friends Kenny Stuart of St. George and Jimmy Richardson of Deer Island.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, James Emerson Leslie, his grandson, George Allan Butler, his special grandfather, LeBaron Leslie, grandmother Frances Butler, uncle Carol Butler, aunt Greta Hartford and beloved brothers-in-law Gerald Lord and Henry McGarrigle.
Lester enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing, four wheeling, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ, Leonardville NB from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Joel Bridges officiating followed by the interment at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery at Calder?s Head NB.
Visiting at the church will take place on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Charlotte County Cancer or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
