Text: Obituary of Faye M. Reynolds
MACHIAS - Faye M. Reynolds, 97, passed away Monday August 3rd 2015 at Marshall's Healthcare Facility in Machias. Faye was born in Machias on May 31, 1918 the daughter of Ernest and Agnes (Morang) Handy.
She graduated high school in Machias in 1938. After raising five children Faye worked for the Machias School System lunch program. She volunteered time to 4-H programs and to the Girl Scouts of America. She enjoyed visiting with neighbors, friends, and family. Faye also received great enjoyment spending time at the Cathance Lake cottage.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by a sister Julia Handy, brother Francis, son Kendall Floyd, son-in-law Steve Roberts, and husband Morris Reynolds. Faye also lost her brother Daniel, brother Robert and her first husband Samuel Floyd to World War II.
She is survived by a daughter Cheryl Gay and husband Warren of Machias, son Francis Reynolds and wife Linda of Pembroke, daughter Julie Roberts of Wesley, and son Sidney Reynolds and wife Deborah of Sorrento, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A family graveside service will be held at 1PM Saturday August 15, 2015 at the Longfellow Cemetery in Machias. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.mcclurefamilyfuneral.com
