        BRADFORD, ROY HARRY - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 26, 2002 following a lengthy illness Mr. Roy (Buddy) Harry Bradford of Utopia, N.B. husband of Jean (Burris) Bradford. Born in Blacks Harbour, N.B. on April 2, 1928 he was a son of the late Donald and Cora (Burrell) Bradford Sr. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife; one son Kalvin (Lynda) of Seattle, WA; three daughters Beverley Frost (Garry) of Bonny River, Coleen Schmiedendorf (Paul) of Cambridge, ON and Maureen Bradford of Utopia; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers Donald (Evelyn) of Utopia and Freddie (Alice) of Hampton, N.B.; four sisters Delores Lockhart (Doug) and Irene Gagnon (Louis) both of Blacks Harbour, Judy Bradford of Niagara Falls, ON and Twilah Rhynold (Leo) of Beaver Harbour, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Burrell and Harold and four sisters Anne Gaudett, Stella Steeves, Prena Deveau and Donaldine McGarrigle. Buddy as he was known to all his many friends and family was an avid outdoorsman. He particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the N.B. Fish and Game Association. Prior to retirement Buddy was employed with Connors Brothers as an electrical supervisor for 44 years. Resting at the Wesleyan Church in Blacks Harbour from where the service will be held on Friday at 2 pm with Rev. Bruce Cheney officiating. Interment in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours at the church on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Buddy's memory, the family have requested memorials to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donors choice.
