Re: James Brown Genealogy
Dear Mr. White:
I tried to call you but found you had an unlisted number, and I would
like to talk to you regarding genealogy information you submitted on James
Brown. I too come through that line through another child and have some-
what diffeerent informaion than you show.
First of all, I come through Mary Brown, daughter of James who was a
sister to Sarah. In my records, they call her Sally. I know she married
Haianes and I know there was a Flora May who married a Seymour Morris.
I would like to hear from you to see how we are related. I have email
at email@example.com If you are on the computer. if not my phone number
is 314-822-4302 in Kirkwood, Mo., Outside of St. Louis, or you can write
me at address shown below.
I do not show that James was the son of Samuel and would like to know
where you got that information. I show him the son of David and Sarah
Parker but have not been able to verify that so especially interested in
your information showing Samuel and Susanna. James was married to Mary
I will be excited to hear from you and hope we can exchange information.
I have quite a bit on the other Browns in that line. Interested in how
you got to Utah and where your line connects. I lived in Provo myself
for 4 years.
Pleas write me of call.

Note #3= Much of the information obtained here in this record was obtained
From an outline sent to Frederick Karl White from Dorothy G. Olson.
Parts of this outline are from information gathered by Emma Betts Brown
and daughter Marianna Brown Snyder, Betty Johns West, Nellie Margaret Lutz
(deceased 1988), Iva Brown Baker, Mildred Pennington, Beatrice Day, Omar
L Brown, files of the Clinton County Historical Society, Ohio, Census
Records, Taz Records, various county Vital Statistics Records, Family
Bibles, L.D.S. Church, and miscellaneous sources.
Much information is also from four large charts, origin unknown
(believed to have been prepared by Betty Johns West), on file at the
Clinton County Hisorical Society in Wilmington, Ohio. Interperting the
charts was difficult in places, therfor, some errors in the spelling of
names and in relationships are possible. Every effort has been been made
to reduce them to a minimum.
The following appears at the top of the first chart:
"Four brothers born in Mass. during the war for Independence, at the
close of the war, moved to Owen County, Kentucky. During 1807 - 1810,
they moved to Washington Township, Clinton County, Ohio.
