In his will dated 1836 his wife had already died and he listed his children as sons John, Whilliam, Johnathan and stepson Moses Hall, (Our Moses Hall would be in his 50's by now. NOT PROVEN SAME GUY!!) daughers Judah Pack, Dalilah Newman, Nancy Pack and Lucinda (Lucy) Holbert.
From Families of Jefferson County: page 39 "The Ellison (sometimes spelled Allison) line descends from John Ellison and wife (?) Hall. John Ellison was born circa 1760 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He found in the American Revolution as a Private in a Comapny commanded by a Capt. Samuel Newell and Lt. John Lameson out of Washington County, Virginia. He received a pension in 1832 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. In his Will dated 1836 his wife had already died and he listed his children as sons John, Whilliam, Johnathan and stepson Moses Hall, daughters Judah Pack, Daliilah Newman, Nancy Pack and Lucinda (Lucy) Holbert.
Lucinda Ellison born circa 1791 in Rutherford County, North Carolina married Joseph Holbert born circa 1790 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, died between 1830-40 in Blount County, Tennessee. They were married 12 Jun 1812 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Joseph Holbert fought in the War of 1812 in Pearson's 7th Regiment North CAaolina Military. They moved to Blount County, Tennessee betweeen 1820-30. After Joseph's death Lucinda Ellison Holbert moved her family to Dandridge area of Jefferson County, Tennessee. There they sharecropped for Samuel Swann. They had at least 3 chilren and maybe more. They were James, Irvin and (I think) Jane. Lucinda died between 1180-80. Cynthia White"
