      Note: After battling COPD for nearly two decades, Jeanette Marie Taylor Vielhaber, The Heritage, 2824 Greenacre Drive, Findlay, OH, died on November 9, 2011 at 3:33 a.m. at the Bridge Hospice Care Center.
      She was born on August 3, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to the late Hugh and Edna (White) Taylor. She was married to Leo J. Vielhaber on December 30, 1950 in Akron and celebrated over fifty-three years of marriage until his death in 2004.
      She is survived by her daughter, Susan Graf (Alan), Memphis, TN; four sons, Richard (Marianna), Findlay, Larry (Martha), Tomball, TX, John and Edward, both of Findlay; eleven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
      Her brother, Gordon Taylor; and sisters, Mildred Starling and Thelma Keith preceded her in death.
      Jeanette graduated from Akron East High School in 1949 and worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., Akron, OH, in the president's office. In the 1970's she was a Welcome Wagon hostess in Findlay, calling on the newcomers, new babies and the newly-engaged girls. She was the 1977 campaign chairman for the Easter Seal Campaign and the 1980 co-chairman of the Mother's March on Birth Defects. She helped found the Association for Children With Learning Disabilities and served on the board of the Hancock County Society for the Physically Handicapped. She was active in the Mini-Magic Miniature Club. She was the Ohio Chapter leader of EFFORTS (Emphysema For Our Right To Survive). She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, with Father Shaji Thomas celebrant.
      Visitation hours are 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.
      Memorials may be made to the Leo J. Vielhaber Scholarship of the Findlay Hancock County Community Foundation, 101 West Sandusky Street, Suite 207, Findlay, OH 45840, to support students pursuing careers to assist physically handicapped children; or to St. Michael's Building Fund, 750 Bright Road; or to EFFORTS (Emphysema For Our Right to Survive) Claycomo Plaza, 411 NE U.S. Hwy 69, Claycomo, Missouri 64119.Online condolences to the family may be made via .
