      Note: Thelma Taylor Keith, 91, passed away February 15, 2007 at The Heritage in Findlay, Ohio.
      She was born on August 2, 1915 in Fayetteville, TN., to the late Edna White and Hugh F. Taylor. The family
      moved to Akron, Ohio when she was nine years old. She graduated from Akron East High School in 1935 and
      was married to Rudie B. Keith on June 15, 1935. He died in 1986, a year after they celebrated their 50th
      wedding anniversary. Thelma retired from Goodrich Tire & Rubber Company with over 30 years service. She
      was a member of the Goodyear Heights Methodist Church for over 50 years, where she enjoyed the Quilters
      Group and the Retirees Organization. With her attention to detail, she created beautiful quilts and pillows. Her
      love for flowers was always displayed with the flowers she and Rudie planted each year.
      Thelma moved with her mother to Findlay in 1991 to be near her sister and her husband. She lived at The
      Heritage Estates for several years, moving to Sunrise Assisted Living in 2004. After a serious fall, she needed
      nursing care and returned to The Heritage Nursing Home late in 2006.
      Preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Starling of Oceanside, CA; and brother, Gordon Taylor of Cuyahoga
      Falls; she is survived by sister, Jeanette Vielhaber of Findlay; numerous nieces and nephews; and her most loyal
      friends, Marianna Smith Vielhaber of Findlay, Anne and Victoria Mansell of Akron.
      Funeral service Saturday 2:00 p.m. at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron. Friends
      may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service time Saturday. Private burial in Hillside Memorial Park.
      Memorials may be made to the Goodyear Heights Methodist Church, 1690 Hillside Terrace, Akron, Ohio44305.
