        Obituary: The Oklahoman 04/03/1952; page 6:" Mrs. Willie Pitts, 67, of 1925 NE 23rd, died Wednesday night in Mercy hospital after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Pitts, a resident of Oklahoma City since 1925, came here from Custer City. She was born in Tennessee, and moved to Oklahoma in 1923 (rlc 1920]. After the death of her husband, R. H. Pitts, in 1934, she managed the filling station he operated at 1925 (rlc 1921) NE 23rd. She retired three years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Services are pending at te Hahn-Cook Funeral Home. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.Tolbert Curry, northeast of city; two brothers, John R. Clark, Illinois, and Sam Clark, Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. W. F. Christenbery, Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. Irene Stebelton, Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Otis Julian, Alameda, Calif.: two step-daughters, Lucy Pitts, of the home, and Mrs. H. W. Stigler, Clinton, and two grandchildren."
