  • Text: His name is spelled Louis with his parents in the 1900 census.
    It is Lewis J. on his tombstone, but the 1910 census has him as
    ``J. Lewis.'' Crawford County death records, book 3, p. 174, entry 8,
    name him James Louis Kerrigan of Breda, Iowa, a farmer
    (this also gives the cause of death above).
    Everything else calls him Lew, Lewis, or Louis.
  • Text: Lewis and his first wife Julia were almost related
    as follows: Lewis' mother was Bridget Lawler. Bridget's
    first husband was John Kealy, Sr. Bridget was John's 2nd wife
    and one of John's children by his first wife was Mary Ann Kealy,
    who married Michael Kernan, and they were the parents of Julia Kernan. 5

      1944 date because the last section lists descendents, and appears to
      cut off somewhere around 1944.
      I got a copy from Robert Sheehy of San Diego in 2002, a descendent of
      the Lawler Kealy family.
